Timing is everything....
Match.com is where it all started, and thank goodness for that. Single and moving to a new city, I was finally living for me and enjoying all that was in store for my new life. Learning the ins and outs of who I am and who I want to be was a constant learning process but because of this move, I was ready for it all. So a bunch of my friends joined online dating and I decided, why not!? What's the worst that could happen? Not knowing this website would lead me to my end of searching!
Working, gym, home, dinner, shower and time to relax was the normal routine, but now throwing dating in the mix was all the more fun! Go out see life, experience what I DONT want in a man,, and just living it up. So a few weeks went by of the online thing and I decided... I'm over it. Maybe this isn't for me? So normal routine, after the gym dinner shower, the game plan was to delete the account, until I fell asleep. And thank goodness I did, because the next morning I woke up to an email from my now fiance.
We did the whole exchanging info back and forth but comes to find out we both were in the process of deleting our accounts! But talking, a lot lead to the first date, the next night! Needless to say... Timing was everything.
First date went off perfectly and we were never apart since! So this past summer we decided to take a trip to Miami. Our first trip and a great get away. So arriving in Miami everything was perfect. Perfect weather, hearing the ocean in the back ground and looking out our balcony patio view to the open sky. Perfection at it's finest. Few days pass and we're just living it up. Getting bronzed and just being in love. Until Thursday comes around!
Normal morning, breakfast at chez geston downstairs in the hotel, breathing in the fresh ocean air and the sun was out! Another perfect morning with my babe! He tells me, dinner plans are at 7 so this was 330 we head up to get ready. As he is trying to press his pants for dinner, I felt something was different...but I helped him with it and we're ready to go!
As we're driving it's like a normal perfect day with my babe, he played it cool, until we're areiving and I could tell he was a little tense. He took our tote with wine glasses from the room and a bottle of blush wine. Just saying let's have some wine and look at the view while we're waiting for dinner! Fine by me :)
Pulling up to "Red Fish Grille" I am amazed how perfect this little hidden gem is! Surrounded by water. Seeing the city off in the distance. And a perfectly gorgeous day/evening what more could we ask for!?
He finds a bench for us to have our wine at, as he keeps fussing with his phone, checking it every minute! I had no idea what was up but was just taking it all in! Until he is like. Let's go over here to the other bench! So we did.....
As we walked over there are people just having fun in the water or walking around the property just taking it all in as we were. Until he starts talking to me , then our favorite song came on. "Marry Me, by Jason Derulo". That was the moment his eyes got big, started talking about us... And how great it's going to be to be with me for the rest of my life, gulps down his wine and stands me up and he kneels down and asks me! As this is happening a woman behind us stands up and starts shooting pictures of that very moment. This is when I realized he hired a photographer to capture this amazing moment!
I am shocked and in pure bliss that such a beautiful man on the inside as well as the out would come up with this idea to do this for me! As well as asked the blessing by my parents as well! He is such a keeper!
The photographer did an engagement shoot for us that evening and it was just so perfect, followed by a late delicious meal finally at 9pm! :) he is the absolute best thing that could of ever happened to me and I pray every single day to continue to be not only the strong woman I was for me but to be that now for us! We're about to move into our first house that my fiancé worked on as a flip property which is gorgeous in its self and planning more once we get moved in at the end of the month! 2016 is gonna be the year! Here's to us, and you! God bless
